About the ratings

Win-Win ratings have been around now for many years with a loyal and successful band of followers. Our ratings have changed the way many people now approach betting and more importantly winning at the races.

The ratings are not prescriptive and do not recommend backing a particular horse in a race, they are designed to work hand-in-hand with your existing selection methods and in doing so minimising the number of losing bets you may have.

They do not take into account the ability of the jockey, the condition of the track, any track bias etc

What they do however, is assess the true ability of each horse based on a number of key factors. The Win-Win rating methodology has the unique ability to compare the merit of each horse’s past performance, no matter where or when it has raced and come up with the potential of each horse to win the current race.

This outside the square thinking is what sets Win-Win apart from other rating systems. We easily identify false favourites and as a result come up with selections that put real value into your own punting strategies.

Purchasing the ratings

Win-Win has an option to suit everyone. You can purchase a single meeting or every meeting for the day. You can choose Long Form or Short Form. Long form gives you a rating, in order, for every runner in the race and includes some additional information. Short form is less detailed and has the first six horses per race.

Subscriptions are also available and offer all the rated races during the subscription period.

Huge savings can be made by subscribing for extended periods. For example, last year Win-Win rated over 1,000 race meetings (7946 races). If you purchased the short form for each meeting it would cost $5,000 ($5.00 per meeting), while the yearly subscription would have been $849 (0.85 cents per meeting). A saving of over $4,000.

Price and Margin

Each race has an indicative price and margin associated with each selection. The top selection has a margin of zero and each other runner has a number greater than zero next to it. The larger the margin from the top selection the less chance the horse has.

Speed

The Speed rating is the horse`s average position at the 400m mark and is used to work out where your horse is likely to be in the race. It enables you to create your own speed maps and take advantage of any bias.
